The Teno Rural Park
is located in the northwest corner of the island of Tenerife and includes parts of the municipalities of Buenavista del Norte, Los Silos, El Tanque and Santiago del Teide. With its 8,063.3 hectares, it is one of the most beautiful natural areas of Tenerife and has preserved its great ecological, scenic and cultural values, largely thanks to its isolation. When you see the extremely complicated terrain of this area, you will find it unbelievable to think how people lived here in past times.
You will be amazed by the variety of the landscape, which ranges from impressive cliffs, valleys, “islas bajas”, laurel forests and magnificent examples of traditional architecture.
